Death of the Wii

wiiWe are Wii-free.  Reagan traded in his Nintendo Wii, controllers, and games so he could have his own Xbox 360.  Why?  Mainly because the novelty wore off and he spent more time playing on my Xbox than on his Wii.

The Wii games focus heavily on movement and action, but it was not easy to find someone else to play with.  At the end of a long day of work Mom and Dad don't really want to throw a shoulder out playing video games.  The system requires lots of room and energy to play.  We have neither.  A game of bowling, tennis, or baseball would often result in someone getting cracked in the head.  And when we do have enough energy to play Wii, we go outside instead.

On top of that, Wii games are not known for their quality.  The popularity of the console has led to the development of endless amounts of  shovelware as developers tried to cash in quickly on the Wii craze.
